Wildcard entrant Manish Sureshkumar stunned top seed Keegan Smith 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 in the first round of the S.M. Krishna Memorial Open at the S.M. Krishna Tennis Stadium here on Tuesday.

Manish, the World No. 737, pulled off the biggest win of his career, against Karnataka Open ATP Challenger winner Keegan.

“I’m kind of getting used to the level now, because the pace is different,” Manish, who reached the quarterfinal of the Karnataka Open last week, said. “I think he had the pressure, not me, because I was the underdog. I decided that I’m going to play freely – go for my shots, and not give away easy points,” Manish added.
