Jaipur: The state education dept has extended the deadline for parents to upload documents for RTE admission verification till April 9 after complaints of technical glitches on the portal and inaccurate documents being uploaded. Many parents have said they were unable to upload documents because the system was not functioning properly, while others reported applications being automatically rejected during the process.Parents will now be able to rectify these documents and re-upload them along with their applications. Officials said that the common reasons for applications being rejected during document verification were missing details like the Aadhaar cards mentioning only the year of birth instead of the full date, income certificates specifying the academic session instead of the financial year, and minor discrepancies between addresses in documents and application forms. In some applications, the domicile certificate or proof of residence did not mention the ward number, leading to applications being auto-rejected.Officials said parents can upload corrected documents till April 9. Grievances will be addressed till April 17, and the second phase of the RTE admission lottery will be conducted on April 21.
