Patna: Bihar showcased its industrial potential in the footwear and leather sector at the 10th India International Footwear Fair (IIFF) 2026 in New Delhi on Friday, attracting investment proposals worth Rs 125 crore that are expected to generate around 1,800 direct jobs.At a session titled ‘Bihar: The Next Frontier of Global Footwear Manufacturing’, the state highlighted its industrial policies, incentives and infrastructure. Industries minister Shreyasi Singh invited investors to explore opportunities in Bihar, while industries secretary Kundan Kumar showcased the Mega Leather, Footwear and Accessories Park in Muzaffarpur, offering leased plots and plug-and-play facilities for manufacturers.
