NEW DELHI: A joint operation involving the Army, Delhi Police‘s Special Cell and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) is underway in Delhi’s Narela, where rocket launchers recovered in connection with the arrest of two suspected terrorists in Manipur are being destroyed, sources said on Wednesday.The weapons were brought to Delhi for examination and disposal after being seized during a joint search operation in Manipur linked to the case, the sources said, as reported by news agency PTI.The cache included rifles, hundreds of rounds of live ammunition, detonators and other explosive material, they said.Specialised teams are carrying out the operation and disposing of the recovered weapons in a controlled manner, according to the sources.Security has been tightened around the area as the disposal exercise is underway, they added.(With PTI inputs)
