RLM president and MP Upendra Kushwaha addresses a news conference in Patna on Monday

Patna: Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) will hold a three-day deliberation camp in Rajgir from August 20 to strengthen the organisation and chart its future course, party president and MP Upendra Kushwaha said on Monday.Addressing a news conference, Kushwaha said the camp would review the party’s functioning, assess its experiences so far and discuss future strategy. Suggestions from district presidents and state-level office-bearers will be sought during the exercise.“All district presidents and state office-bearers have been invited to the camp,” he said.The former Union minister said the objective of the camp is to revitalise the organisation, infuse fresh energy among workers and undertake extensive brainstorming on the party’s ideology, policies and future action plan.He said discussions would also focus on the prevailing political and social situation and ways to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.Calling it more than a routine organisational event, Kushwaha said the camp would provide an opportunity to enhance ideological clarity, organisational strength and define the party’s future roadmap. Special emphasis will be laid on making the organisation more effective and people-centric while incorporating suggestions from workers and office-bearers.On the RJD’s proposed Lok Bhavan march on August 19, Kushwaha took a swipe at Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav. “Tejashwi has returned from abroad and has some free time on his hands, which is why he is organising this march,” he said.Among those present at the news conference were state president Alok Kumar Singh, MLA Rameshwar Kumar Mahto, working state presidents Prashant Pankaj and Subhash Chandravanshi, national general secretary Fazal Imam Mallick, and state spokespersons Nitin Bharti and Simmi Kumari.
