REWARI: A case involving the alleged rape of a four-year-old girl has been reported from Rewari’s Kasola area. Police have arrested the accused, identified as Gopal Jat, and the child has been admitted to hospital for treatment.According to police, the victim’s family, originally from Bihar, lives in a village under Kasola police station. Gopal Jat, a native of Madhya Pradesh, was living in a rented room in the neighbourhood and worked at a company in Bawal.According to the family’s complaint, the girl’s mother left her daughter with Gopal Jat on Tuesday evening while she went to the hospital to get medicines.When the mother returned later that evening, she allegedly found the child in the accused’s room in an unconscious and distressed condition. Shocked by the situation, she informed her husband and neighbours, following which police were alerted.Kasola police registered a case based on the mother’s complaint and began an investigation. Police subsequently arrested Gopal Jat.Kasola SHO Inspector Satish Kumar said the accused, Gopal Jat, has been arrested and the child has been admitted to hospital, where she is undergoing treatment. He said the accused is a native of Madhya Pradesh.Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident and collecting evidence. The child’s medical examination and other legal procedures are also being carried out.As the case involves a minor, her identity has not been disclosed.
