Prayagraj: Inspector General of Police (Prayagraj range) Ajay Kumar Mishra on Thursday doubled the cash reward on the arrest of nine wanted criminals in Pratapgarh from Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000 each.The list included Niyaz of Kakraha, Kuldeep of Mandhata, Rukhsar of Kandhai, Shahwaz alias Lambu of Pooredevjani, Shahreyar of Mandhata, Mahfooz of Kandhai, Gufraan alias Changu of Khampur, Shanshah of Kohdaur and Shahrukh of Antoo.Police said all the criminals have vast criminal records, and special police teams have been formed for their arrest.Meanwhile, Delhupur police of Pratapgarh arrested two auto lifters on Thursday. The duo has been identified as Ravi Kumar alias Nanke (19) and Sonu Patel (20), both residents of Soraon (Prayagraj). Cops also recovered four stolen bikes from their hideouts. The duo used to target marriage pandals to steal bikes in Prayagraj and Pratapgarh districts. They identified a deserted place near the Mauaima-Delhupur border area to hide their loot and used to change the registration numbers of the vehicles to evade the police.
