Lucknow: The Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court has asked the state govt as to whether the state agencies are looking into the aspect of traffic control management while granting permission for construction of new schools.The bench has also directed the state govt to consider if the traffic control management in the vicinity of the schools can be given to the concerned schools. The bench has fixed next hearing on March 10.A bench of Justice Alok Mathur and Justice BR Singh passed the order on a PIL moved by Gomti River Bank Residents Association. The bench has been monitoring the issue of traffic hazards in vicinity of the noted schools in the city.On the suggestion of handing over traffic control management to the schools themselves, the bench asked the state to discuss the feasibility with LDA, PWD, NHAI, municipal corporation and housing board and the district administration.
