Prayagraj: An eight-year-old girl died after being hit by a car reversing near the old water tank in GTB Nagar, Kareli, on Saturday evening. The girl, identified as Umaira, was playing near her house when the accident occurred.Umaira lived in a nearby slum. She sustained serious injuries and was taken to a private hospital by local residents. Given her critical condition, doctors referred her to SRN Hospital, where she was declared dead.Kareli SHO Sachchidanand Singh said further action would be taken based on the inquiry.
