Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao said chief minister Revanth Reddy is hiding his failures by blaming the previous BRS govt’s debts. He said the Congress govt borrowed ₹4 lakh crore in the past two and half years, and should explain what was done with the funds.Speaking at the party workers meeting in Chevella on Thursday, the BRS working president alleged that if Revanth Reddy gave even a single rupee to farmers, it was only for electoral gains.“During KCR’s tenure, many industries were brought to the once backward Chevella region. We established industrial parks in Chandanvelly and Sitarampur. We brought in companies like Microsoft, Amazon, and Welspun, creating employment for thousands. Under the Congress rule, thousands of homes are being demolished. The party deceived people with countless promises before the elections, and Revanth Reddy must be taught a lesson at the right time by reminding people of those pledges,” he said.KTR said the Congress party announced ₹12 lakh per person under Dalit Bandhu scheme in its Chevella declaration and Indiramma house for every person who does not have a house. The party claimed that it would issue pattas for assigned land. Instead of keeping its promises, Congress is snatching away assigned lands and did not implement Dalit Bandhu scheme, he said.Former minister P Sabita Indra Reddy, ex- MLA Patnam Narendra Reddy and others were present.
