Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao took at a dig at the govt and urged the voters who benefited from the Congress welfare scheme to support its candidates, while asking the rest to vote for the BRS. Stating that no section of society in the state is happy with the govt, he said it was the right time to teach the Congress a lesson by backing the BRS, as the ruling party had betrayed the people after coming to power. He called upon voters to question the govt about the promises made to the people during the 2023 assembly elections. Participating in municipal election campaigning in Bhupalpally and other areas on Monday, the BRS leader said that Revanth Reddy became chief minister through a ‘lucky draw’ and lacked the necessary qualities for the post. “Revanth’s language and behaviour are disgraceful and unlike that of any other CM in the history of Telangana or united Andhra Pradesh. Unable to govern the state, he is instead criticising former CM KCR,” he said.He also alleged that some police officers were harassing opposition parties and the public at the direction of Revanth Reddy. “They should remember that power is not permanent. Once we are back in power, we will deal with such officers,” KTR said.
