Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday said the new ‘Indira Mahila Shakti Bhavans’ in 22 district headquarters will be inaugurated soon.The Mahila Shakti Bhavans, which are being designed on the lines of corporates, would serve as hubs for training, marketing and other business activities of women self-help groups (SHGs), he said.At a meeting with a delegation of FICCI ladies’ wing, the CM said 1,000 square yards of land would be allocated next to Shilparamam for the construction of FICCI’s headquarters. “The place is situated between Hi-Tec City and CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) office, where the new FICCI office will be another big landmark in the area.During the meeting, the CM extended greetings to the FICCI ladies’ organisation for celebrating its 25th anniversary, and the FICCI itself is set to complete 100 years in 2027, and announced the allocation of an acre of land to FICCI in Bharat Future City also.“The Congress govt is keen to encourage FICCI as a partner in the development of Bharat Future City. Given the success of the industrial park established under the aegis of the FICCI Ladies Organization, we are considering developing another industrial park dedicated to women’s empowerment,” he said.The CM shared his vision of developing Bharat Future City to the FICC delegation. “The govt’s goal is to ensure all Fortune 500 companies come to the Future City and that FICCI and women entrepreneurs should play a key role in development of the Future City,” he added.Stating that the govt was committed to encouraging women entrepreneurs and also holding meetings with them every three months, CM Revanth said that the govt was working towards selling products made by women’s groups globally via Amazon “We should also establish a tradition of honouring women’s groups that excel in business with awards presented under the aegis of FICCI,” he added.
