Koraput: A retired teacher of a high school in Rayagada district was on Tuesday convicted in a disproportionate assets case by a vigilance court and sentenced to two years of rigorous imprisonment. The school is run by the SC and ST development department of the state govt. The convict was identified as Unna Rajendra Patro, a retired teacher of SSD (ST & SC development) high school. The court sentenced Patro to rigorous imprisonment of two years and imposed a fine of Rs 50,000. Vigilance further stated that it will initiate steps for stoppage of pension following the conviction.
