Margao: Residents across most parts of South Goa have been asked to brace for disrupted water supply on June 29 and 30, as the public works department has announced a complete shutdown of the 100MLD Selaulim water treatment plant at Xelpem, Sanguem, for urgent interconnection work.The shutdown of a part of the Selaulim water supply project will affect consumers in Sanvordem, Quepem, Cuncolim, Curtorim, Margao, Fatorda, Shiroda, Nuvem, Cortalim, Dabolim, Vasco, and Mormugao constituencies, stated a public notice issued by the PWD. While the plant will be shut on June 29 to carry out the work, affected areas will face restricted water supply on June 30 as the system recovers.The 160MLD Selaulim water treatment plant will continue to remain operational as usual during the period.
