Jhansi: The entire top portion of an overhead tank caved in after it got stuck by lightning here on Friday late night causing panic among hundreds of residents living nearby.The incident has been reported from Maharaj Singh Nagar in Nagra, a thickly populated area. On Friday late night while there was rain and lightning, locals noticed some damage being caused on the top of the overhead tank.On Saturday morning upon inspection it was found that a large portion of the top part had caved in, damaging the whole tank. The water supply was immediately stopped and the tank was emptied.Scores of locals who had gathered near the tank were fearing further damages on the collapse of the structure while they were also worried about the water supply which got hampered.
