The Kerala High Court has granted significant relief to Honey Rose, cancelling the GST department’s notice that had demanded her tax records for several assessment years in a single request.Reports from Bar and Bench website says that the court clarified that such a combined notice cannot stand. Instead, the authorities must seek documents separately for each year. According to the original notice the department alleged that Honey Rose had not fully paid taxes on income earned from her acting career. It also claimed that her total earnings were not accurately disclosed. With the court quashing the notice, the actress now moves past what had become a prolonged legal concern.

‘Rachel’ pushes release again

While the legal victory brought relief the actress also faced an unexpected development on the professional front. Her upcoming film ‘Rachel’ has been postponed once again. The film was initially expected to release on December 12. The makers later announced that they had decided to delay the release after reviewing the film’s theatrical prospects.The update was shared through an Instagram note posted by the team. Their announcement stated, “Considering the timing and overall release landscape, we are rescheduling the release to ensure the best experience for our audience.” They also mentioned that the shift was necessary to help the film secure stronger visibility in theatres.Honey Rose plays a never-before-seen characterDirected by newcomer Anandini Bala, Rachel marks an important milestone in Honey Rose’s two decades in cinema.
