Bathinda: The Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) has urged the state govt to reconsider its decision to shift pharmacy and paramedical colleges from the technical universities to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot.PUCA president Anshu Kataria said these colleges functioned under Inder Kumar Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG-PTU), Jalandhar, and Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRS-PTU), Bathinda, for many years. He said around 49 Pharmacy colleges were affiliated with IKG-PTU, while about 20 were affiliated with MRS-PTU, Bathinda.Manjit Singh, patron, Joint Association of Colleges, urged the govt to convene a meeting of all stakeholders, including students, staff, college managements, and representatives of the technical universities, to seek their feedback before implementing such a significant decision.MSID:: 128308822 413 |
