Ranchi: City police on Sunday detained eight people — five women and three men — for their alleged involvement in running a sex racket in a hotel located near Ranchi railway station.City police conducted raids at multiple locations based on a tip-off, city superintendent of police (SP) Paras Rana said.“We got information about women being involved in operating a human trafficking racket and their involvement in soliciting in public spaces. Based on the information, police conducted a raid at a city hotel. Later, based on the information they revealed, police conducted a search at other locations as well and took them in custody for questioning,” Rana said.
