Ramgarh: Ramgarh has secured the top position in Jharkhand in the composite overall district rankings for Sept, released by the school education department.
The district scored 77.86%, followed by Koderma at 77.12% and Chatra at 76.84%. The rankings were based on 23 key and sub-indicators.
The assessment comprised two components. High priority indicators, which carried 70% weightage and covered learning outcomes, school monitoring and timely data reporting, accounted for 58.44 marks. Enabler indicators, carrying 30% weightage and covering academic planning, infrastructure and administrative coordination, contributed 19.43 marks.
Deputy commissioner Rituraj attributed the achievement to the coordinated efforts of the district administration and education department.
“Ramgarh’s top position reflects the collective efforts of the administrative and education teams. Regular school monitoring, improved teaching-learning practices, timely reporting and better coordination have contributed to the success. Our priority remains ensuring quality education for every child and sustaining this momentum,” he said.
District education officer Abhay Kumar Sil said the ranking was the result of consistent efforts at the grassroots level.
“Our goal is not just to remain at the top but to further improve academic standards and infrastructure in every govt school,” he said.
