Ramgarh: Four bike-borne miscreants with sophisticated weapons fired several rounds at the houses of two coal traders in Saunda Basti village under the jurisdiction of the Patratu police station in Ramgarh district on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday, triggering an atmosphere of fear in the locality. No casualty was reported in the incident. Senior police officials went to the spot and started an investigation into the incident.On Thursday, Ramgarh SP Ajay Kumar said the motive of the four motorcycle-borne miscreants, who opened fire at the houses of two coal traders, was to create fear and extort money from the duo.Meanwhile, a crime review meeting was conducted at the office of the Patratu sub-divisional police officer. During the meeting, Hazaribag range deputy inspector general (DIG), Anjani Anjan Jha, directed officials to form a special investigation team to nab the miscreants involved in the incident of firing, police sources said.
