Chennai: PMK founder S Ramadoss on Tuesday made a mention before the first bench of Madras high court, seeking urgent hearing of his plea to freeze the party’s mango election symbol. But, the first bench of Chief Justice Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari and Justice G Arul Murugan said the plea would only be considered if a formal petition is filed and numbered. On March 12, a single judge of the court passed an interim stay against the proceedings of a civil suit moved by Ramadoss, seeking to restrain his son, Anbumani, from using the name, flag and symbol of PMK.He approached the SC, which directed Ramadoss to approach the jurisdictional civil court. On March 26, the civil court also refused to freeze the symbol and observed that restraining or altering the allotment of an electoral symbol at this stage would impinge upon the ongoing election process.Aggrieved, Ramadoss again approached the SC, which directed him to approach HC.
