Chennai: A Rajasthan-based truck owner and Instagram influencer, Shyam Lal Nokha, was arrested and released on station bail after posting a video alleging illegal collection of money from truck drivers at Elavur Integrated Check Post near Gummidipoondi.Police said Nokha, 35, filmed the video while passing through the check post on Friday. In it, he accused officials of collecting money illegally and urged bystanders to record the incident. The video subsequently went viral.Based on a complaint lodged by Regional Transport Office inspector, Arambakkam police registered a case against him for criminal intimidation and causing damage to public property.Nokha runs a popular social-media page on which he regularly highlights problems faced by truck drivers, including illegal collections at toll plazas and check posts.
