Jaipur: The annual September Polo Season 2026, organised by the Rajasthan Polo Club, is set to commence in Jaipur from Tuesday. The season will continue until October 25 and will feature several prestigious polo tournaments and exhibition matches.A special feature of the Polo Season this year will be that some of the tournament finals and exhibition matches will be played at night. The floodlights have already been installed. These matches will offer spectators a unique and thrilling experience.Ahead of the upcoming season, Padmanabh Singh said, “The Jaipur Polo Season creates its own identity every year, and the September Season 2026 is set to take this legacy to new heights. This year, with a strong level of competition and an expanded tournament calendar, spectators will have the opportunity to witness some of the finest players from India and abroad in Jaipur. Our aim is to preserve Jaipur’s rich polo heritage while connecting it with the younger generation. Encouraging young and women players is also among our key priorities. We are confident that this season will offer an exciting experience for polo enthusiasts, with thrilling matches and memorable moments.”

The season will begin with the RPC Cup (4-goal), to be played from Sept 1 to 6, followed by another RPC Cup (4-goal) from Sept 7-13. The Chinkara Polo Championship (6-goal) would be held from Sept 14 to 20, followed by the Army Commanders Cup (6-goal) from Sept 21-27 at the 61 Cavalry Ground. During the same period, the Jaipur Junior Open Under-21, in the Out of Hat format, will be held from Sept 14 to 27.The October matches will include the Bhavnagar Polo Trophy (8-goal), sponsored by Sternhagen, from Sept 28-Oct 4; the Sawai Man Guard Cup (8-goal) from Oct 5-11; the General Amar Singh Kanota Cup (6-goal), sponsored by Hotel Castle Kanota, from Oct 12-18; and the BM Birla Cup (4-goal), sponsored by NBC, from Oct 19-25.

The polo season will also feature special exhibition matches. These include the FHTR Exhibition Polo Match, sponsored by FHTR, on Set 18, and the Mayo Polo Cup, sponsored by USPA, on October 10. In addition, an international junior test match is proposed to be held on 1 November 2026.
