The weather department has forecast rain over the next few days.On Thursday, 9.6 millimeters rainfall was recorded from 8:30am to 5:30pm. Maximum (day) temperature in the city was recorded at 32.8 degrees Celsius, 2.1 degrees below normal and 0.2 degree less than a day before.Minimum (night) temperature was recorded at 28.4 degrees Celsius, 1.8 degree above normal and 0.8 degrees more than a day before. The meteorological department website suggests a gradual rise in day and night temperature over the next five days.Rising humidity is making it difficult to accomplish routine tasks.“The cloudy weather and light drizzle offered some relief from the heat, but humidity remained high. Household chores such as cooking, cleaning and laundry became exhausting as we kept sweating throughout the day. We are hoping for adequate rain in the coming days to bring down the humidity and make the weather more comfortable,” said Anjali Sharma, a homemaker.
