Patna: East Central Railway (ECR) has decided to operate 20 special passenger trains on Sunday to facilitate the movement of candidates appearing for the Bihar Police recruitment examination. The trains will run on various routes under the Danapur and Samastipur divisions.According to ECR chief public relations officer (CPRO) Saraswati Chandra, at least 12 special trains will operate on the Buxar–Patna, Bakhtiyarpur–Rajgir, Rajgir–Bakhtiyarpur, Kiul–Gaya, Nawada–Gaya, Nawada–Jhajha, Buxar–Danapur, Patna–Buxar, Gaya–Kiul and Jhajha–Patna routes on Sunday. In addition, two special trains will run on the Patna–Chhapra and Patna–Bhabhua Road routes on Saturday under the Danapur division.The railways will also operate eight special trains on the Bettiah–Siwan, Darbhanga–Barauni, Madhubani–Hajipur, Muzaffarpur–Siwan, Samastipur–Siwan, Supaul–Madhubani, Sitamarhi–Bettiah and Muzaffarpur–Bettiah routes under the Samastipur division on Sunday, he said.“Necessary arrangements have been made at stations to handle the increased passenger footfall and ensure hassle-free travel for examinees. Adequate railway employees have also been deployed at major stations to assist candidates during peak hours,” the CPRO added.
