JAIPUR: A 45-year-old railway employee died by suicide after jumping in front of a train near Shivdaspura Railway Station here on Tuesday, police said.The deceased, Mahesh Tanwar, was a trackman and lived in a railway quarter near the station.According to a note found on him, Tanwar took the extreme step after being distressed over certain matters involving his wife and children, police said.Police said Tanwar had also sent a photograph of the one-page note to friends and acquaintances on WhatsApp about an hour before his death.Tanwar and his wife had been involved in a legal dispute for the past five years and had been living separately during this period, police said.Shivdaspura SHO Rajesh Gautam said Tanwar has two cases against him.“The allegations made in the suicide note will be investigated by the Government Railway Police (GRP),” Gautam said.The GRP will conduct the post-mortem and the body will be handed over to the family, the officer added.(With Agency Inputs)
