New Delhi: The BJP on Saturday hit out at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, accusing them of lying with regard to claims of an alleged purification ritual at an event addressed by Kharge in Uttarakhand’s Haldwani.
BJP leader Gourav Vallabh said: “People of Haldwani’s Valmiki community are themselves admitting that Rahul is lying and attempting to spread a political hoax in order to gain the votes.”
BJP National Spokesperson Shri Guru Prakash Paswan said: ” The Congress and Rahul Gandhi’s claims on Dalit respect are under scrutiny due to their own history and conduct. The Congress today speaks of honoring Kharge ji, but a picture from Priyanka Vadra‘s nomination in Wayanad raised questions, when the party’s national president Kharge was seen standing outside.”
