Dharmapuri: A quack from Mayilkottai village, in Dharmapuri district was arrested on Sunday, for administering drugs and prescribing allopathic medicine to the public. He had studied only up to Class XII.Adhiyamaankottai police said they arrested Vajravel, 47, from Mayilkottai, following a tip off. “Acting on the information, we went to the village and searched Vajravel’s house. We seized allopathic tablets, drugs, and syringes, following which we arrested him.” said a police officer.The officer added that Vajravel had earlier been arrested for the same offense a few years ago and was jailed.
