Jaipur: A private school near Shipra Path in Jaipur was forced to shut for a day after receiving a bomb threat via email, prompting a two-hour security sweep by police and specialised units Wednesday.Police officers said the threatening email was sent to the school’s official email ID in the morning. The administration alerted authorities immediately, after which personnel from Shipra Path police station rushed to the campus.
Bomb disposal squad teams, a dog squad, Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) personnel, and other investigative units also joined the search operation. Officers cordoned off the premises and conducted a thorough inspection of classrooms, corridors, and common areas. As a precautionary measure, the school administration closed the institution for the entire day and sent students home to ensure their safety.After nearly two hours of combing the school campus, police found no suspicious object or explosive material.
