Pune: The Mahalunge MIDC police are searching for a worker from a private company who is on the run after killing his colleague late on Sunday night.The victim, Devendra Kumar Verma (35), who sustained a severe cut to his throat, was taken to a nearby hospital. He succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the hospital, police said.An officer from the Mahalunge MIDC police said that the victim, Verma, was working in a private company at Mahalunge MIDC. On Sunday night, he got into an altercation with his colleague over some petty issue. “The accused attacked the victim with a sharp weapon. The victim sustained a severe cut to his throat. The accused fled from the spot,” the officer said.He said that the victim’s nephew took him to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. “We have registered a case of murder against the accused, who hails from Uttar Pradesh,” he said.
