Puri: Deputy chief minister and tourism minister Pravati Parida on Sunday announced that a cruise terminal worth Rs 1,000 crore will be constructed in Puri. She added a city will be developed over 1,500 acres in Sipasarubali area of Puri district to boost tourism-led urban growth. She made the announcements during the 40th foundation day celebration of Hotel and Restaurant Association of Odisha in Puri. Parida, who was the chief guest, said the state has immense potential in tourism.“If we move forward without fear and focus on the future, we will certainly progress. The tourism landscape is expanding rapidly and we must keep pace with it,” she said.Parida also said three Blue Flag beaches will be developed between Nuanai and Astaranga to strengthen Odisha’s coastal tourism profile.
