Chandigarh: The Football Players Association of Punjab (FPAP) has tied up with Roundglass Sports to strengthen grassroots football and enhance player welfare in the state.The collaboration aims to put players at the centre of development, focusing on education, wellbeing and long-term career support beyond on-field performance. It will address issues such as physical and mental health, injury management, financial planning and post-retirement transition.The initiative will roll out workshops, awareness drives and outreach programmes on mental health, injury prevention, financial literacy, anti-doping and career planning. Retired players will be engaged through mentorship, while grassroots efforts will target young footballers across Punjab.The partnership was announced in Chandigarh in the presence of FPAP president and former India international Anwar Ali, vice-president Harpreet Singh, India goalkeeper Amrinder Singh, Gurnaz Kaur, Harmilian Kaur, Punjab FC GM Nitin Pant, and others.FPAP members will also get access to digital wellbeing resources via the Roundglass Living app.FPAP, launched in September 2025, is affiliated with the Football Players Association of India and FIFPRO, and works to safeguard players’ rights in the state.
