Ludhiana: Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) launched its “Research and Extension Specialists’ Workshop” to drive crop diversification across the state.Vice-chancellor Dr Satbir Singh Gosal inaugurated the event, emphasizing the promotion of dragon fruit, citrus expansion, and advanced potato breeding. A new guide on vegetable processing for agri-startups was also released.Director of research Dr A S Dhatt revealed the development of 11 new vegetable and fruit varieties, alongside innovations in agro-forestry, aimed at providing Punjab farmers with high-yield, climate-resilient alternatives to traditional crops.
