Mangalam
Rangasamy is also contesting from Mangalam, continuing the dual-seat approach he used in 2021. The seat is presently with the AINRC, where C. Djeacoumar secured victory in the last election by a margin of 2,751 votes over the DMK.
Yanam
Yanam, though geographically encircled by Andhra Pradesh, holds political importance. It is currently represented by Independent MLA Gollapalli Srinivas Ashok, who defeated Rangasamy in the previous election.

In Mannadipet, BJP leader and Home Minister A. Namassivayam is seeking to retain the seat, which he won in 2021 with a margin of 2,750 votes against the DMK.
Indira Nagar
Indira Nagar has been a stronghold of the AINRC since 2011. The seat is held by AKD Arumugam, who achieved the largest victory margin in the 2021 elections, winning by 18,531 votes.
Nedungadu
Nedungadu, another AINRC stronghold, was represented by Chandira Priyanga, who served as the only woman minister in Rangasamy’s cabinet until her resignation in 2023. She had previously won the seat in 2016 as well.

Raj Bhavan
Raj Bhavan is gearing up for a major contest, with BJP state president V. P. Ramalingam among the candidates. The constituency is currently held by AINRC’s K. Lakshminarayan.
Mudaliarpet
In Mudaliarpet, BJP’s A. Johnkumar is contesting against DMK’s sitting MLA L. Sambath. Johnkumar, formerly associated with the Congress, is now a minister in Rangasamy’s cabinet.
Karaikal North
Karaikal North saw one of the tightest races in 2021, where AINRC’s P.R.N. Thirumurugan won by just 135 votes. He is now contesting again, aiming for a fourth straight term.
Bahour
Bahour, an important seat for the DMK, recorded a narrow victory margin of 211 votes in 2021. It is currently represented by DMK’s R. Senthilkumar.
Mahe
Similar to Yanam, Mahe is geographically surrounded by another state, Kerala. The Congress won the seat in 2021 with a slim margin of 300 votes.
Nellithope
Nellithope also experienced a close contest, with the BJP winning by 496 votes. Richards Johnkumar secured victory, while the DMK came in second place.
