T’puram: The internal vigilance wing of public service commission (PSC) reportedly found grave irregularities in the recruitment exam conducted for appointments to the state planning board, with its report indicating the possible involvement of senior officials in the alleged exam fraud. The internal vigilance team led by SP Sini F Dennis submitted its report to PSC. Sources said the report recommended a detailed investigation in this case.The report’s findings were discussed at the meeting held at PSC headquarters on Monday. PSC is expected to forward the internal vigilance report, which seeks further investigation, to the state govt. But govt is unlikely to order a separate probe as the crime branch is already investigating the alleged exam scam. CB-SIT headed by IG Ajeetha Begum is expected to submit its report in a day or two. Sources said the report was delayed as the investigation is not complete.Sources said SIT is likely to recommend the registration of an FIR before submitting its report to the DGP. Once an FIR is registered, investigators are expected to carry out scientific examination of the evidence and summon senior officials for questioning as part of the investigation.The internal vigilance report and the CB probe have reportedly concluded that there were lapses on the part of senior officials and a comprehensive investigation is necessary to determine individual accountability in the alleged exam irregularities.
