Udaipur: Gau-rakshaks Friday blocked the bypass near Nela Talab, under the Govardhan Vilas police station limits, after a half-burnt calf carcass was found by the roadside. Members of organisations and gau-rakshaks reached the spot, raised slogans, and demanded strict action against those responsible.After receiving information, Govardhan Vilas station officer Rajendra Singh Charan arrived with police personnel. Police urged the protesters to disperse and said an investigation would be completed within two days.The protesters left after police assurance. They said that even if the calf had died of natural causes, burning it in this manner was wrong, and demanded that the police determine the exact cause of death.
