Heavy fighting has erupted in northern Yemen as clashes intensified between Houthi fighters and Saudi-backed forces across Al-Jawf and Marib provinces. According to Press TV and Yemen TV, airstrikes targeted Houthi reinforcements, missile launchers, Katyusha rocket sites, and weapons depots in several frontline districts, including Al-Jubah, Al-Safra, and Majzar. Reports also claimed that several Houthi fighters, including missile specialists, were killed during the latest operations. The escalation follows recent Houthi threats to target Saudi-linked commercial shipping in the Red Sea and enforce a maritime ban near the Bab al-Mandab Strait, raising fresh concerns over regional security.
