Panaji: To ensure that all Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) in the state are computerised, the registrar of co-operative societies has appointed 11 officers to handhold those PACS that have yet to come on board.The registrar of co-operative societies wants all 58 PACS in the state to be capable of automated verification of financial entries, accounts and daily transactions by Oct end.According to the department, 11 PACS have yet to fully adopt digitisation and achieve 100% dynamic day end (DDE). DDE is an automated, real-time account closing process used by modern core banking and cooperative financial systems to finalise daily transactions without manual ledgers and human intervention.To ensure the effective implementation of PACS computerisation, officers have been assigned to specific PACS to provide regular on-site and remote technical and functional support. The officials will ensure the completion of dynamic day end (DDE) on a daily basis, monitor PACS compliance, and identify and resolve operational issues related to e-PACS implementation. These officials will co-ordinate with the software provider, technical agencies and departmental nodal officers to resolve any operational issues.The department officials will also ensure that at least one staff member in every PACS is adequately trained in each functional module of the digital banking system.Registrar of co-operative societies Ashutosh Apte said that these officers will conduct periodic visits and submit a daily and weekly progress report indicating the status of DDE implementation, pending issues, training conducted and corrective measures taken.“The concerned zonal assistant registrars will closely monitor the performance of the assigned officials and ensure timely completion of Dynamic Day End, capacity building of PACS personnel and resolution of all operational issues,” said Apte.The state level monitoring and implementation committee (SLMIC) at a recent meeting has appointed Vidya Online Limited (VOL) and Info Tech Corporation of Goa Limited (ITG) to ensure expeditious completion of the computerisation of the remaining 11 PACS.
