Vadodara: President Droupadi Murmu will visit Vadodara and Padra on Sep 23 to attend the convocation ceremony of Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) and a programme organised by the Brahma Kumaris.Murmu is scheduled to arrive at MSU at 11.40am, where she will attend the convocation ceremony and confer degrees on students. She will later travel to Padra and attend a Brahma Kumaris programme on Tajpura Road at 3.45pm.Vadodara district administration has begun preparations for the President’s visit, focusing on security, traffic management, protocol and logistical arrangements for both events.As part of the preparations, Vadodara district collector Anil Dhameliya and Padra sub-divisional magistrate Aishwarya Dubey inspected the venue of the Brahma Kumaris programme in Padra. They reviewed the arrangements with officials and directed them to complete the required work within the stipulated time.Officials are also finalising the President’s arrival and departure routes, parking facilities and other logistical arrangements at the Padra venue. Security and other arrangements at the MSU campus and surrounding areas are also being strengthened.The district administration has instructed all concerned departments to coordinate closely to ensure that the President’s programmes are conducted smoothly and according to schedule.Hitesh D Ravia, OSD (public relations and communication) at MSU said, “We are fully prepared to hold the convocation ceremony on Sep 23 if the President’s office officially confirms the date. However, the final announcement regarding the programme will be made only after receiving an official confirmation from the President’s office”.
