Nagpur: President Droupadi Murmu will launch the Brahma Kumaris’ statewide campaign, ‘Golden Era of Maharashtra through Unity and Trust’, at Vishwa Shanti Sarovar in Jamtha on Wednesday. Elaborate security and logistical arrangements have been put in place by the district administration ahead of her visit.Divisional Commissioner Vijayalakshmi Bidari reviewed the preparedness of various departments and directed govt agencies to ensure seamless coordination and strict adherence to security protocols. A multi-layered security plan has been implemented, and prior registration has been made mandatory for attendees. Participants have been instructed to carry their original Aadhaar cards and valid identification documents while complying fully with security guidelines.

The campaign aims to promote trust, harmony, unity, and respect for human values across Maharashtra. The Brahma Kumaris have outlined eight guiding principles for the initiative, including building an addiction-free society, encouraging sustainable lifestyles, ensuring cleanliness, strengthening civic responsibility, fostering readiness for humanitarian service, promoting value-based education, advocating a disciplined and pure life through yoga, and working towards a green and sustainable Maharashtra.The programme will be attended by Governor Acharya Devvrat, state revenue minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, and senior functionaries of the organisation, including additional general secretary BK Mrityunjay Bhai, Rajyogini BK Chandrika Didi, and Nagpur chief Rajyogini BK Rajni Didi.In view of the President’s visit, the city traffic police have announced diversions and restrictions on heavy vehicles to facilitate uninterrupted movement along her route on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. President Murmu is scheduled to arrive at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport at around 5.20pm and will proceed to Vishwa Shanti Sarovar in Jamtha. She will stay overnight at Lok Bhavan in Civil Lines and depart for the airport at approximately 9.50am on Thursday.Senior police officials, including officers of additional commissioner rank, have been deployed to supervise security arrangements.As per the traffic management plan, heavy vehicles heading towards Nagpur, Jabalpur, or Bhandara will be diverted at Dongargaon Toll Plaza via Gumgaon to Samruddhi Zero Circle. Traffic from Butibori will be rerouted through Datala village, while vehicles arriving from Amravati via the Samruddhi Mahamarg will be regulated at the Samruddhi Zero Circle–Vrindavan junction. Heavy vehicles travelling from Panjara Toll Plaza towards Wardha will be diverted through Samruddhi Zero Circle–Datala–Butibori. Police officials said personnel will be deployed at key junctions to ensure smooth traffic flow and prevent congestion.
