New Delhi, July 25: President Droupadi Murmu, on the advice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has accepted Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation from the Union Council of Ministers with immediate effect, according to a press communique issued by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), New Delhi.
The President has also directed that Cabinet Minister Pralhad Joshi be assigned the charge of the Ministry of Education, in addition to his existing portfolio, as advised by the Prime Minister.
The decision has been taken under Clause (2) of Article 75 of the Constitution of India.
