Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday directed officials to prepare plans to develop ring roads in every district headquarters for hassle-free road connectivity, on the lines of the Outer Ring Road around Greater Hyderabad.“The ring roads should be connected directly to the highways to ease traffic problems in the future. Conduct a feasibility study and prepare full-scale plans in accordance with Telangana’s Road Sector Policy-2047,” the CM said at a review meeting with Roads and Buildings minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and officials from the R&B department.Discussing the road development network within the Greater Hyderabad limits, Revanth said steps should be taken to ensure that roads are developed through proper planning, so that people can travel anywhere in the state from Hyderabad within a stipulated time.The CM enquired with officials about traffic challenges in Hyderabad and suggested identifying measures to improve connectivity and ease traffic congestion in the city.Officials were also instructed to conduct a review with the GHMC and revenue departments to identify problems in developing the road network and to move forward with a clear approach.CM also instructed officials to complete the works expeditiously to provide better medical care to the poor.Revanth said steps should be taken to ensure that roads are developed through proper planning, so that people can travel anywhere in the state from Hyderabad within a stipulated time
