Chennai: DMDK treasurer Premallatha Vijayakant sharpened her attack on AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami on Sunday, releasing the 2024 poll agreement document she signed with AIADMK which said DMDK would be given an MP seat. Premallatha told reporters that EPS had ‘cheated’ her by not honouring the agreement.”EPS is a former CM. A person of his stature should keep up his words, not go back on its like a third rate political speaker,” Premallatha said. Premallatha was forced to release the copy of the agreement to public, because of the remarks of EPS ‘demeaning’ DMDK. “I am releasing the poll agreement in the Annamalaiyar temple for the first time. He should have given the RS seat in 2025, but he refused, saying that there was no such agreement,” Premallatha said. “When asked to mention the year when DMDK would be given the RS seat, EPS said his vocal assurance carries more significance than the written word,” Premallatha said. Eventually, EPS went back on his words and refused the give the RS seat, she said. She said EPS would face the consequences of his act in the upcoming assembly election.
