Patna: Patliputra University (PPU) has initiated steps to reduce the number of pending court cases and ensure speedy implementation of judicial orders to provide timely relief to teachers and employees who had approached courts with service-related grievances.A meeting chaired by vice-chancellor Upendra Prasad Singh with the university’s panel of lawyers was held at the PPU headquarters on Thursday to review the status of ongoing legal matters and chalk out measures for their early resolution.PPU registrar Abu Bakar said the university administration stressed the need for prompt implementation of court decisions so that eligible teachers and staff members receive the benefits granted through judicial orders without delay.“The objective is to gradually bring the number of court cases to zero through proper coordination and legal procedures,” Bakar said. He added that the administration had decided to extend maximum possible benefits to complainants in accordance with govt rules and court directions.The move is expected to benefit a large number of teachers and employees awaiting implementation of court orders in various service-related matters. The university has directed the officials concerned to work closely with the legal panel to ensure timely action on pending cases, Bakar added.
