Vadodara: Portion of two buildings in different areas of the city collapsed on Monday. Firemen had to rescue some residents and close some of the flats in these apartment buildings.The first incident occurred in Vijaynagar Society on Sama Road, where part of the terrace of an apartment building collapsed. Residents immediately vacated the building even before firemen reached the spot for a rescue operation. A few vehicles were damaged by debris falling on them. The seccond incident happened in Ambika Apartments on Waghodia Road where the balcony of a flat collapsed. Firemen reached the spot and extricated some of residents. The residents have been asked to not use the building as it was deemed dangerous.
