MYSURU: Except court boycott by the advocates, bandh call given by a section of pro Kannada and farmers organisations received poor response in Mysuru and malnad districts.In Mandya, epicenter of the protests, agitators shutdown many commercial establishments forcefully.According to the authorities, in Mysuru, all schools, and colleges, bus and auto-cab service are intact.According to Hotel Owners Association president C Narayana Gowda, all hotels are open.The KSRTC is operating all schedules, said officials.Even the private bus service is also normal across the district.Mysuru Bar Association president S Lokesh informed that advocates will not attend today’s court proceedings opposing the CWRC direction to release water.Meanwhile, several farmers groups are holding protest marchs in the city.The bandh received poor response in Hassan, Chikkamagaluru, Shivamogga, Kodagu, and Chamarajanagar districts too.However, in Mandya various Kannada and farmers groups holding protests since morning to pressurise the state government not to release Cauvery water.
