Mukesh Sansi and Teeja’s illegal three-storey building in Mansarovar

Jaipur: A joint team of city police and JDA Wednesday demolished an illegal three-storey building worth around Rs 1 crore belonging to a history-sheeter couple as part of a crackdown on properties allegedly built using proceeds of crime. JDA also initiated action against another property linked to the accused.DCP (South) Rajarshi Raj Varma identified the accused as Mukesh Sansi, a history-sheeter of Mansarovar police station, and his wife Teeja Sansi, who is also a history-sheeter. The demolished property was located at House No. 36A in Shankar Vihar, Gurjar Ki Thadi.According to police, Mukesh has 12 criminal cases registered against him, including nine under the Excise Act and three under the NDPS Act. His wife faces eight criminal cases, including six under the Excise Act and two under the NDPS Act. Police said charge sheets have been filed in all the cases.Investigators alleged the couple constructed the building without approval from JDA using proceeds from illegal liquor and narcotics trade. Police also alleged they intimidated residents who objected to unauthorised construction.The demolition was carried out by a joint team of Mansarovar police and JDA officials under the supervision of Additional DCP Lalit Kumar Sharma, ACP Hemendra Sharma and Mansarovar SHO Satish Chand.Varma said similar action against history-sheeters and organised criminals allegedly possessing illegally acquired assets would continue under the ongoing special drive.
