Hazaribag: Police have cracked a poultry feed theft case reported from the Gidhaur police station area and arrested one person in connection with the crime. The accused has been identified as Arvind Kumar Yadav (29), a resident of Dahura village under Sadar police station area.Police recovered 21 sacks of poultry feed, each weighing 50 kg, allegedly stolen from a poultry farm on Sept 12. A smartphone allegedly used in the crime was also seized.Addressing a news conference at Gidhaur police station on Sunday, Chatra SDPO Sunny Vardhan said SP Animesh Nathany had received a tip-off about the stolen poultry feed. A special team was formed under the leadership of Sadar circle police inspector Virendra Hansda to verify the information and take action.The team included Gidhaur police station in-charge Purushottam Agnihotri, assistant sub-inspector Ranjay Kumar Singh and armed police personnel.The SDPO said the team, acting on the tip-off, raided Turag village under Sadar police station area and detained Arvind Kumar Yadav. During interrogation, Yadav disclosed the location of the stolen poultry feed, following which all 21 sacks were recovered.Vardhan warned that people involved in theft, illegal storage and criminal activities would not be spared. He said police were continuously acting on information and would ensure strict legal action against those involved in such cases.An FIR has been registered at Gidhaur police station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The arrested accused has been sent to judicial custody.
