T’puram: State police chief on Thursday will award badge of honour and commendation disc to police officers who demonstrated excellence in various fields within the police force. The distribution will take place at Mind Auditorium of the Police Training College in Thycaud at 4pm.The badge of honour is awarded based on skills in areas such as case investigation, maintaining law and order, intelligence gathering, administration, human trafficking, traffic control, training, cybercrime, fingerprint collection and social policing. The awards will be given to railway and coastal police as well. A total of 167 individuals will receive the Badge of Honour. Seven officers from the ministerial section will receive commendation certificates, and 50 officers have qualified for the commendation disc. TNN
