Villupuram: PMK founder S Ramadoss, 86, cast his postal ballot from his farmhouse on Friday, assisted by polling officers and a videographer. He told reporters he was hurt that neither Anbumani nor his family visited him during his recent hospitalization, saying, “They are merely waiting for my end to take full control.” He added, “I regret that I could not keep the promise I made to the people that my family members would not foray into politics.” Ramadoss had fainted during a campaign at Salem and was admitted to Apollo Hospital. He accused Anbumani of being driven by “responsibility-free” ambition and a desire to “usurp” the party. Ramadoss also accused Anbumani’s wife, Sowmiya, of fuelling the division, while his daughter Srikanthi labelled Anbumani the “first traitor” of the party.
